SMC/BMC Resin

ALITA PS-9045C unsaturated polyester resin is used as a low-shrinkage additive for SMC/BMC applications, offering excellent colorability. It is compatible with unsaturated polyester resins and is suitable for general-purpose SMC/BMC products in electrical, industrial, residential, and automotive applications.

ALITA 1598 is an unsaturated polyester resin for SMC/BMC, made primarily from isophthalic acid and neopentyl glycol. It features high reactivity and thickening properties. It is used for injection/molding of BMC and SMC sheets, resulting in products with high mechanical strength, good electrical performance, and excellent heat and chemical resistance. It is applied in fields such as electrical components and industrial equipment.

ALITA 501 resin is a PTA-type unsaturated polyester resin, primarily made from purified terephthalic acid (PTA), maleic anhydride, and standard glycols. It is dissolved in a styrene crosslinking monomer, exhibiting high viscosity and high reactivity. ALITA 501 resin offers stable thickening, good strength and toughness, low shrinkage, and excellent water resistance. It is suitable for the production of special products such as BMC (Bulk Molding Compound) manhole covers and traffic barrier bases.

ALITA L-5016 is a Low Profile (LP) additive specifically designed for Class-A surface SMC/BMC molding applications. Its exceptionally low viscosity and excellent shrinkage control enable the production of final products with precise shrinkage rates, including zero or even negative values. This makes it an ideal solution for compression molding of products requiring high surface quality and accurate dimensional stability.
