ALITA 1598 – Versatile Resin for Efficient Injection/Molding of BMC and SMC Sheets

Principal Properties & Application:

ALITA 1598 is an unsaturated polyester resin for SMC/BMC, made primarily from isophthalic acid and neopentyl glycol. It features high reactivity and thickening properties. It is used for injection/molding of BMC and SMC sheets, resulting in products with high mechanical strength, good electrical performance, and excellent heat and chemical resistance. It is applied in fields such as electrical components and industrial equipment.

Note:

  1. The casting method follows GB/T 8237, with the curing system: 0.6% Co-Naphthenate 1%, Nouryon M-50 1%.
  2. Post-casting curing treatment: Room temperature × 24 hours + 60℃ × 3 hours + 110℃ × 2 hours.

Handling and Storage:

During transportation, it should comply with the national “Regulations on the Safe Management of Chemical Dangerous Goods,” Chapter 5 on the transportation and handling of chemical dangerous goods. It should be stored in a cool, ventilated indoor area below 25°C, away from sources of ignition, heat, and radiation. The container should be kept sealed, protected from moisture and sunlight, and stored separately from oxidizers, acids, and bases. Under these packaging, transportation, and storage conditions, the storage period is 6 months (for resin with accelerators, the storage period is 3 months). If the storage temperature is higher (up to 30°C), the storage period should not exceed 3 months (for resin with accelerators, the storage period should not exceed 1.5 months).

For the first trial order, we require 100% payment upfront. For subsequent orders, we ask for 30% payment in advance and 70% payment after the buyer receives the B/L copy. We also accept L/C if needed.
