ALITA 210 – Optimal Choice for High-Performance Pultruded Fiberglass Products

Principal Properties & Application:

ALITA 210 resin is an unsaturated polyester resin mainly made from phthalic anhydride, featuring low viscosity and medium reactivity. ALITA 210 resin stands out with its low viscosity, excellent wetting, and fast curing. Pultruded fiberglass products created with this resin demonstrate good mechanical strength and high elongation, showcasing strong versatility. This resin is particularly suitable for pultrusion molding to manufacture high-quality pultruded fiberglass products.

Note: When testing the SPI curing performance, the curing agent used is Enox BPO-50F, and the dosage is 2%.

Physical properties of the casting (for reference only):

Note:
The casting method is performed according to GB/T 8237-2005, curing system: promoter 0.6% Co Naph 1.0%, curing agent Enox BPO-50F 1%;
Casting: 4mm thick, post-curing conditions are: room temperature × 24h, 60℃ × 3h, 110℃ × 2h.

Usage instructions:

1. ALITA 210 resin does not contain wax, promoter, or thixotropic agent.
2. The recommended curing system for pultrusion process is: BPO curing agent 0.5-2.0%; TBPB curing agent 0.5-1.5%. The actual selection should be based on specific equipment, products, process temperature, pultrusion speed and other factors. When making thick products, it is recommended to add a low shrinkage agent to reduce the shrinkage rate.
3. For higher heat resistance and seawater resistance requirements, it is recommended to choose isophthalic ALITA 239 resin; for higher corrosion resistance requirements, it is recommended to choose epoxy vinyl ester ALITA 901 resin.

Handling and Storage:

This resin contains ingredients which could be harmful if mishandled. Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided and necessary protective equipment and clothing should be worn.
Drums – It is highly recommended that all material is stored at stable temperatures below 25°C (77°F). Avoid exposure to heat sources such as direct sunlight or steam pipes. To avoid contamination of product with water, do not store outdoors. Keep sealed to prevent moisture pick-up and monomer loss. Rotate stock.
