ALITA 7016 – High-Performance Pultrusion Resin for Superior Pultruded Products

Principal Properties & Application:

ALITA 7016 is an unsaturated polyester resin primarily made from phthalic anhydride, specifically engineered for the demanding requirements of pultrusion molding. Its moderate viscosity and high reactivity make it ideal for manufacturing high-quality pultruded products.

Benefits of ALITA 7016 Pultrusion Resin:
  • Excellent Wetting Properties: Ensures thorough impregnation of reinforcements, such as pultruded fiberglass, creating a strong bond for superior composite properties.
  • High Reactivity: Facilitates fast curing times, enabling efficient production cycles, especially in continuous pultrusion processes.
  • Fast Curing: Improves productivity and reduces energy consumption during the pultrusion process.
  • Superior Thermal Strength: ALITA 7016 yields pultruded composites with a high heat deflection temperature, suitable for high-temperature applications.
  • Outstanding Mechanical Properties: Imparts high strength, high modulus, high hardness, and good toughness to pultruded products, meeting diverse performance needs.
ALITA 7016 is ideal for:
  • Pultrusion Molding
  • Pultrusion Processes
  • High-Speed Pultrusion Lines

Usage instructions:

1. The ALITA 7016 resin does not contain wax, promoters, or thixotropic agents.
2. For the curing system in the extrusion process, it is recommended to use BPO curing agent at a concentration of 0.5-2.0% and TBPB curing agent at a concentration of 0.5-1.5%. The actual selection should be based on specific equipment, products, process temperature, extrusion speed, and other factors. To reduce shrinkage when producing thick-walled products, it is advisable to add low-shrinkage additives.
3. For applications requiring higher heat resistance and resistance to seawater, it is recommended to choose ALITA 239 resin, which is a benzene-based resin. For applications requiring higher anti-corrosion performance, it is recommended to choose ALITA 901 resin, which is an epoxy vinyl-based resin.

Handling and Storage:

This resin contains ingredients which could be harmful if mishandled. Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided and necessary protective equipment and clothing should be worn.
Drums – It is highly recommended that all material is stored at stable temperatures below 25°C (77°F). Avoid exposure to heat sources such as direct sunlight or steam pipes. To avoid contamination of product with water, do not store outdoors. Keep sealed to prevent moisture pick-up and monomer loss. Rotate stock.

How can I get a sample?2024-07-17T06:56:11+00:00

We provide small samples free of charge, but you will need to cover the shipping costs.

Are you able to adjust the formula to meet our requirement?2024-07-17T06:59:11+00:00

We have our own technical department. After you test the sample, please provide us with your detailed requirements. We can adjust the resin accordingly to enhance the properties of your finished products.

What is the lead time for mass production?2024-07-17T07:00:10+00:00

Honestly, it depends on the quantity. We will do our best to create a production plan based on your estimated time of arrival (ETA).

What are your terms of payment?2024-07-17T07:01:14+00:00

For the first trial order, we require 100% payment upfront. For subsequent orders, we ask for 30% payment in advance and 70% payment after the buyer receives the B/L copy. We also accept L/C if needed.
